This document describes the ``ANU/Fujitsu CAP Research Program''. The program is based on collaborative research between Fujitsu Laboratories and the Australian National University. It is located in the Computer Sciences Laboratory and the Department of Computer Science at ANU.The program consists of interrelated Projects. Each Project is concerned with parallel computing and especially with multicomputing. Outcomes are published in technical reports and scientific papers in international journals and conferences.
In contrast to papers covering individual Projects, this document reports on the overall Program as at September 1998. It is one of three sources of archival information about the Program; the others being the collection of papers in the annual proceedings of the Fujitsu Parallel Computing Workshop, and the ANU AP1000 Software Report which provides a software view of the Program.
This report is produced on behalf of the members of the CAP Team, the group of research scientists whose collective work constitutes the CAP Research Program.
